UL HPC School - November 2018
The University of Luxembourg operates since 2007 a High Performance Computing platform which currently features a total of nodes (in practice, computing cores) for a cumulative computing power estimated at TFlops.
The total raw storage capacity shared within the clusters is currently estimated at TB.
The UL HPC team will offer instructions and practical sessions on a variety of topics, including:
- Access to and interaction with the UL HPC infrastructures
- HPC challenges, especially as regards the storage data management (backups, git, GDPR, quotas)
- HPC workflow management (for sequential and parallel tasks)
- Advanced scheduling (on Slurm and OAR)
- Parallel programming with OpenMP/MPI
The aim is to cover basic and intermediate-level usage of the platform, Whether you have no HPC experience or are an advanced user, don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn more about the efficient usage of the system.
Important Pre-registration is required. The number of seats is limited and no on-site registration will be accepted. Pre-registration will be accepted until Wednesday, November 21th, 2018. Registration Fees (100€) applies for UL externals and should be paid prior to the venue.
November 23nd, 2018, on the Belval campus within the brand new Luxembourg Learning Center
Location: Learning Hub 2.02 (2nd floor)
